Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Georgia is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Patient Flow Coordinator RN to oversee patient movement and coordinate care across shifts. This role requires strong teamwork, clinical judgment, and the ability to liaise with ED staff to deliver timely, safe care.

Eligible candidates hold an RN license in Georgia, BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications; experience in ED and quality improvement is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license with Georgia state licensure and/or multistate licensure
• 1 year ED experience required
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Responsibilities

The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• Bachelor's Degree of Nursing Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of Emergency Department experience, as a registered nurse (RN) Required
• Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
• CEN - Certified Emergency Room Nurse Preferred
