Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Patient Flow Coordinator to oversee patient movement and care coordination in a fast-paced ED. You will partner with ED clinicians to optimize throughput and safety, while modeling teamwork and leadership.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of ED RN experience, Georgia RN licensure, and active BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with CEN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia is required.
• 1 year Emergency Department RN experience is required.
• BCLS, ACLS and PALS are required; CEN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the movement of patients through the ED to ensure safe and efficient care.
• Serve as a liaison with ED medical staff to facilitate timely care and maintain professional teamwork.

Responsibilities:

The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• Bachelor's Degree of Nursing Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of Emergency Department experience, as a registered nurse (RN) Required
• Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
• CEN - Certified Emergency Room Nurse Preferred
