Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Park Ridge is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care and lead the clinical staff within an acute care setting. You will assess patients, implement nursing care plans, and evaluate outcomes to ensure safe, high-quality care.

You will mentor teammates, help manage staffing, ensure policy compliance, and collaborate with departments to optimize patient flow. BSN preferred or ADN with BSN progress planned within 2 years; BLS required.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide work direction to clinical and support staff to coordinate resources for patient flow.
• Perform nursing process for safe, therapeutic patient care and evaluate outcomes.
• Coordinate patient care through communication with families, departments and medical staff.
• Train and orient staff; monitor and review performance with leadership.
• Assist with HR duties including interviewing and staff concerns, as needed.
• Monitor staffing levels and adjust to maintain productivity.
• Ensure policy compliance and quality of care in line with regulations.
• Assist in budget input and ensure supplies and equipment are available.
• Support program development with management and vendor coordination.
