Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Nurse Lead for the Main Emergency Department. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and the coordination of safe, patient-centered care during night shifts.

The Clinical Nurse Leader will ensure staffing, evaluate unit needs, and collaborate with clinical and nonclinical departments to manage admissions, transfers, and discharges. Strong regulatory knowledge and leadership abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting required; two years preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Arizona and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, coordinate, implement, and evaluate delivery of safe, patient-centered care.
• Mentor clinicians and promote professional development.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges with other departments.
• Ensure staffing, handoffs, and unit coverage across shifts.
• Participate in unit governance, leadership activities, and PCI/quality initiatives.
• Communicate with multiple departments to optimize patient flow and safety.
