Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department to lead from the bedside in a 0.90 FTE, full-time days role. The position offers competitive hourly pay ($44.27–$71.09) and comprehensive benefits with relocation support potentially available.

You will coordinate patient flow, support staff, and mentor nurses while maintaining direct patient care and contributing to quality and safety initiatives in a fast-paced ED.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• At least 1 year of Emergency Department experience as a primary clinical provider
• Demonstrated leadership, clinical judgment, and strong interpersonal skills
• Current: BLS
• Current: ACLS
• Current: PALS
• Current: TNCC

Responsibilities

• Lead Emergency Department operations during assigned shifts
• Coordinate patient care, staffing, throughput, and clinical priorities
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
• Support onboarding, competency development, and coaching of team members
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment
• Partner with department leadership to improve quality, safety, and patient outcomes
• Help identify and implement process improvement initiatives
• Promote exceptional patient and family-centered care
