Job summary

The Advanced Paramedic in the Emergency Department at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, SC is a PRN, part-time role with shifts 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. You will perform triage assessments, initiate appropriate order sets, assign Emergency Severity Index scores, and ensure smooth patient flow with ED staff.

Minimum qualifications include a Paramedic license and a high school diploma or GED; 2–5 years’ experience is preferred. Parking is complimentary for employees.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performing and documenting triage assessment for emergency department patients.
• Provide appropriate care within scope of practice and policy.
• Identify and initiate triage order sets.
• Evaluate and assign Emergency Severity Index Score to triage patients.
• Communicate pertinent information to ED team members and providers.
• Help maintain patient flow from triage to ED.
