Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a PRN PA or APRN to join the Department of Emergency Medicine. The selected APP will deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care for adult ED patients at MUSC’s Main Hospital and Ashley River Tower.

Required training includes a PA or NP program and current licensure with BLS/ACLS; EM ED experience or EM fellowship is preferred. Shifts are 10 hours with PRN days, nights, weekends, and holidays possible.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited PA or APRN program and current licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; DEA license applications must be started before first day.
• Experience in Emergency Department setting or completed EM Fellowship/Residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes patient history and performs physical examinations.
• Evaluates and treats based on tests and clinical findings per scope of practice.
• Performs procedures within privileges and documents care provided; ensures quality and safety.
