Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of related experience in a role or field that provides transferable skills or knowledge relevant to the position

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registration for emergency, inpatient, observation, and outpatient patients by accurately completing required demographic, insurance, and consent information in designated systems
• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and prior authorization requirements to support timely access to care and accurate billing
• Maintain hospital census and bed board information to support clinical workflow and patient placement
• Calculate patient financial responsibility and collect or arrange payment through phone or face-to-face interactions
• Prepare and update patient records for emergency, ambulatory, and inpatient services to ensure documentation completeness
