Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks an ECU Design Engineer to join the Body Electronic Design Team. You will oversee E/E architecture research and develop an auxiliary PDC for NA programs, while aligning ECU timing to vehicle milestones and leading DV/PV testing plans.

Responsibilities include supplier coordination, component spec development, and reporting progress to management. Domestic/international travel up to 15% may be required as projects progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or automotive engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in body electronics design and validation.
• Experience with vehicle electronics component design and validation.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical architectures and CAN networks.
• Root cause analysis and corrective-action experience.
• Ability to present technical topics to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee advanced research on E/E architecture and power distribution systems.
• Lead local testing for NA low-voltage battery performance.
• Design and develop an auxiliary PDC for NA programs.
• Align ECU design timing with vehicle program milestones.
• Establish DV/PV test plans for components.
• Support supplier selection and component spec development.
• Create and track design/development timing plans.
• Lead meetings with R&D, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
