Job summary

School District 622 - North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator for Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE). Under supervision, you will support students with educational and personal needs in structured ECSE programs.

The position is 12 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 9:15-12:15, ASAP start, pay $24.54 per hour. Benefits are provided per the labor agreement for paraeducators, with emphasis on confidentiality and student safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with college coursework or a ParaEducator credential as alternatives.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and restrain students when trained.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing instructional plans and adapting curriculum as directed by the teacher.
• Support students in various subjects and activities within ECSE programs.
• Assist with classroom activities, prepare materials, and organize schedules.
• Monitor student safety and behavior, redirect inappropriate actions as needed.
