Job summary

Fort Bend ISD in Texas seeks an Aide Special Education ECSE EIA to provide direct support to students with significant cognitive disabilities across settings. You will assist teachers by collecting accurate data on goals and IEP objectives, and help with academics, behavior, communication, and life skills.

The role emphasizes safe, engaging environments, handling personal care tasks, and documentation; you will follow ARD plans, maintain logs, and support classroom routines under supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or a passing score on the Para Professional Assessment of Knowledge and Skills Test.
• Texas Educational Aide Certification or required to obtain within 10 days of hire
• De-Escalation/Restraint Certification Obtain within 30 days of hire (district-provided training)

Responsibilities

• Interact with students to ensure safety and engagement in multiple settings.
• Maintain alert attention regarding supervision of students at all times in various settings.
• Record service implementation on approved logs and routinely collect data on IEP targets and behavior.
• Prepare instructional materials under guidance of the teacher and attend staff development.
• Assist with personal care services (feeding, dressing, toileting, etc.) as needed.
