Job summary

Fort Bend Independent School District is seeking an Elementary Aide Special Education ECSE EIA to provide direct support to students with significant cognitive disabilities. You will help implement IEP goals, collect data, and assist in daily routines to promote safety and independence.

Under supervision of certified staff, you will support academics, behavior management, personal care tasks, and data logging across general and special education settings to ensure meaningful progress for each

Qualifications

Minimum of 48 college hours or passing score on the Para Professional Assessment of Knowledge and Skills Test.
Texas Educational Aide Certification or able to obtain within 10 days of hire.
De-Escalation/Restraint Certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Interact with students in hallways and classrooms to ensure safety and engagement.
Support classroom management and supervise students at all times.
Implement ARD-directed behavioral strategies and use approved restraints when needed.
Assist with academic/functional lessons under teacher guidance.
Provide personal care services (feeding, dressing, toileting, transferring) as needed.
