Spring Branch ISD is looking for a Special Education Teacher Assistant for Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE). This role includes assisting students with disabilities and supporting instructional staff in classroom activities. The ideal candidate must have at least 48 college hours or a high school diploma and possess Educational Aide Certification. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lift students are essential requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus pass a District Assessment.
• Educational Aide Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and teachers in ECSE classes.
• Assist in carrying out the instructional program under the supervision of teaching personnel.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials and equipment.
• Assist with teacher planned activities and exercises.
• Help students in self-care activities such as feeding and toileting.

Skills

Ability to work with children using appropriate interpersonal skills

Fluent in English (verbal and written)

Bilingual preferred

Background related to working with children and parents

Physical capacity to lift, transfer students

Education
