Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks an ECMO/ECPR physician to respond 24/7 for OHCA and cardiovascular emergencies. You will perform emergent cannulation, establish ECMO, and lead a multidisciplinary team through transport and handoff to hospital ICU or cath lab.

The role requires MD, Minnesota licensure eligibility, and CRM-MMRC ECMO certification within 180 days. Prior critical care or interventional cardiology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD with ability to obtain MN licensure or board certification.
• 3 years experience in cardiology or critical care required.
• MMRC ECMO certification from CRM training within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess eligibility for ECPR criteria in refractory cardiac arrest.
• Perform emergent cannulation to initiate ECMO and start the circuit.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team to follow the ECPR protocol.
• Provide resuscitation and post-cannulation care during transport.
• Coordinate care until handoff to in-hospital teams.
