The candidate will apply rigorous quantitative methods, present findings to stakeholders, and help organize meetings and learning opportunities with country teams and partners.

Qualifications

• Degree in economics with at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 in statistics, accounting, or calculus.
• Specialized experience in economic analysis and public investments, including CBA and growth diagnostics.
• Experience with statistical or programming software (Stata/R) and ability to present findings.

Responsibilities

• Conducts growth diagnostic (constraints analysis) research for MCC programs under development.
• Contributes to cost benefit analysis to ensure the cost-effectiveness of MCC programs.
• Supports diagnostic studies of sectors (e.g., electricity, education, transportation) applying sector knowledge and economic logic.
• Supports beneficiary analysis that builds on the CBA to identify beneficiaries.
• Analyzes and drafts recommendations on sector requirements and reforms to stimulate private investment.
• Supports Evaluation Management Committees through review of evaluation design reports and related materials.
• Contributes to program performance reporting and regular performance reviews of projects and programs.
