Job summary

Texas Wesleyan University’s Academic Success Center is seeking an Economics Tutor (Student Assistant or Work Study) to provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring in economics at the Fort Worth campus. You will schedule weekly tutoring hours and participate in training to support student success.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma, a 3.0+ GPA, and tutoring coursework with A or B at Texas Wesleyan, plus prior tutoring experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• GPA minimum 3.0 with discretionary exceptions.
• Completed tutoring courses with A or B at Texas Wesleyan University.
• Formal or informal tutoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring services and maintain a weekly schedule of available hours.
• Attend tutor training workshops as required.
• Keep accurate records of tutoring appointments by filing tutoring reports.
• Maintain contact with professors to obtain relevant materials for the ASC.
• Assist undergraduate students with assignments.
• Tutoring appointments help students become better learners.
• Assist with front desk coverage, scheduling tutoring appointments, answering phones, and organizing materials.
