Job summary

OLIVE-HARVEY COLLEGE is seeking a part-time Peer Tutor for the Economics Department. The role involves providing tutoring to students, supporting basic skills, and helping learners become independent. Training and flexible hours are required to support diverse student needs.

The successful candidate will be 16 or older, actively enrolled at City Colleges of Chicago, and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. Prior tutoring experience is preferred, with a focus on math, science, or literature as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and academic support to students in the Economics Department.
• Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions as needed.
• Attend required tutor training meetings and prepare session plans.
• Help students develop study skills and independent learning strategies.
• Maintain student progress notes and assist with scheduling tutoring sessions.
