Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago seeks a part-time Tutor for Business and Economics at Truman College, part of the Math Center & CIS Lab. The role supports students in business, math, CIS, and related subjects, delivering tutoring, planning sessions, and fostering independent learning.

Responsibilities include developing tutoring plans, guiding study skills, and recording progress. Preference for applicants available Mondays/Wednesdays 12pm–6pm for Fall 2025.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Completion of tutoring certification preferred.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring at the post-secondary level is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic assistance and tutoring to students one-on-one or in small groups.
• Help students develop study skills, time management, and test-taking strategies.
• Schedule and conduct tutoring sessions and maintain records of activities.
