Job summary

Walmart is offering a 11-week Economist Internship in Hoboken, NJ, during Summer 2027 for undergraduates graduating between December 2027 and August 2028. You will work on a meaningful project, network with industry experts, and develop your skills while contributing to Walmart's Economics team.

Interns are immersed in projects using economics to drive decision making, with exposure to pricing, growth, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Experience with analyzing large datasets (SQL, R, or Python) is a plus.
• Strong interest in economics and research.
• Curious, self-starter and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Designing and analyzing experiments to guide decision making.
• Performing causal inference to understand effects not observable in experiments.
• Framing and evaluating trade-offs to drive strategic decisions under uncertainty.
• Applying behavioral economics to inform user experience design.
