Job summary

Walmart Global Tech is seeking Software Engineer Interns for backend, frontend, and full stack roles as part of a paid 11-week program in Summer 2027. The internship will expose students in their penultimate year to meaningful projects and the Walmart technology stack used by millions of associates and customers.

The Intern will participate in the full software development lifecycle, work in an agile environment, and collaborate to design, implement, and monitor new functionality while building

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in CS, EE, Math, Stats or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python (Java/Scala a plus).
• AI fluency and fundamentals of ML are required.
• Experience building ML models from scratch or with frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technologists across JavaScript, React, Node, Java, Spring Boot, Cosmos DB, Docker, AI/ML.
• Design, write, and review code impacting millions of customers/members.
• Participate in full software lifecycle and agile/scrum processes.
• Develop tools to monitor systems and diagnose issues across teams.
