Job summary

Motlow State Community College invites applications for the Economics Faculty position. Responsibilities include teaching a 15-hour load per semester across multiple campuses, providing advisement, and contributing to college committees.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Economics or a qualifying field from a regionally accredited college or university by the application date.
  • Master’s degree in any field with minimum 18 graduate hours in Economics or qualifying field from a regionally accredited college or university by the application date.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses as assigned in accordance with the catalog description and approved syllabus.
  • Provide academic advisement and mentoring to students about academic and career goals.
  • Collaborate with faculty and leadership on curricular and programmatic needs.
  • Support college operations and participate in college committees.
  • Teach a 15-hour load per semester; summers are voluntary, but not guaranteed.
  • Post and maintain office hours for advisement and meetings.
  • Respond promptly to Dean’s requests and complete paperwork.
  • Stay current with developments in the discipline and engage in scholarship or creative activities.
