Job summary

Concordia University seeks applicants for a full-time, twelve-month faculty position in Economics and chair of the Financial Studies department at the Mequon campus, starting August 2027. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate economics, oversee the Financial Studies curriculum, mentor faculty and students, and contribute to research and service within the Batterman School of Business.

Qualifications

• Earned terminal degree in economics, business, or related field; ABD considered with related professional experience.
• Active member of a Christian church.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate economics and related disciplines.
• Willingness to teach face-to-face and online courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, business policy and related disciplines.
• Oversee the Financial Studies curriculum, including development, implementation, and assessment.
• Supervise, orient, evaluate, and promote professional development of Financial Studies faculty.
• Hire and coordinate Financial Studies adjunct instructors in collaboration with the Academic Program Coordinator.
• Chair department faculty meetings.
• Mentor and advise students pursuing business majors.
• Maintain an active research program with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Attend meetings and serve on committees.
