Job summary

Grand Rapids Community College's Department of Social Sciences seeks adjunct instructors to teach Economics on fall and/or winter terms at the Grand Rapids and Lakeshore campuses. Positions are semesters-by-semester with varied times and delivery modes, including in-person, online, hybrid, and virtual.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Economics or related field and have community college teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Economics or closely related field.
• Teaching experience at a community college preferred.
• Ability to teach Economics courses across multiple campuses.
• Commitment to student success and ADA accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Teach Economics course offerings.
• Foster engaging classroom environment and use approved textbooks.
• Maintain accurate student records and accommodate ADA needs.
• Respond to communications promptly and provide course information access.
• Fulfill adjunct faculty responsibilities and follow syllabus templates.
• Comply with GRCC policies and Faculty Association Contract.
