The State of West Virginia is seeking an Economic Service Worker to oversee a caseload for various economic assistance programs. This role involves processing applications, determining eligibility, and conducting interviews with clients. A Bachelor's degree is required, along with the ability to evaluate client data and provide necessary referrals. Candidates with relevant experience may substitute education requirements. A valid driver's license may also be required.
Economic Service Worker:
Berkeley Jefferson Morgan counties
Under general supervision, perform at the full performance level in processing applications, ascertaining eligibility for, and overseeing a caseload for a variety of economic assistance programs including, but not limited to SNAP, various Medicaid programs, Emergency Assistance/LIEAP, and School Clothing Vouchers. Schedule telephone and face-to-face interviews. Competently conduct personal interviews with clients regarding their personal, financial, and social information. Determine eligibility for services, maintain an up-to-date client caseload, and refer clients to various supportive services and agencies when needed. May obtain repayment from clients who have been issued benefits erroneously. Performs related work as required.
