Job summary

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection seeks an Economic Analysis Intern to support applied research and policy analysis on environmental and economic issues affecting New Jersey. You will help collect data, summarize findings, and prepare charts and memos for staff analysis.

Ideal candidates are juniors, seniors, or graduate students studying economics, environmental economics, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at an accredited university/college.
• Ideal candidates are juniors, seniors, or graduate students.
• Fields of study include economics, environmental economics, environmental policy, public policy, environmental science, data analytics or statistics.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize data relevant to NJ environmental and economic issues.
• Review policy and academic literature and summarize findings.
• Prepare charts and brief memos for staff analyses.
• Assist with analyses related to rulemaking, affordability, climate risk, infrastructure and environmental programs.
