Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Public Administration or related field; five years’ experience in economic development, business development, customer relations, public administration, or related field.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local government laws and regulations; ability to navigate municipal processes.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate economic incentive proposals and to manage complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise executive leadership on relocation or expansion opportunities, site selection, incentives, and resources.
• Lead or support projects such as retail recruitment and tech ecosystem initiatives.
• Coordinate RFIs with site selectors and partners to ensure timely submission of data.
• Perform ROI analyses and economic modeling to evaluate projects and incentives.
• Draft economic incentive proposals and agreements with City Attorney involvement.
• Assist businesses in evaluating real estate opportunities and permitting requirements.
• Organize site tours, partner meetings, and market visits for prospective businesses.
• Develop tailored proposals and presentations communicating Denton’s value proposition.
