Job summary

Castalia Systems is seeking a Mid-Level Economic Analyst (Sanctions) to support government all-source intelligence analysis for the Defense Resources and Infrastructure Office (DRI). The role involves assessing sanctions effectiveness and how adversaries evade them, including crypto and alternative financial systems.

This onsite position requires U.S. citizenship, TS/SCI w/CI Poly clearance, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of experience in all-source analysis.
• 3+ years of experience producing all-source intelligence analysis reports and briefings and input to IC databases.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and IC Databases.
• Ability to develop high-quality deliverables tailored to senior policymakers or defense stakeholders, including complex written products and formal or informal briefings.
• Knowledge of macroeconomics and financial markets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis on the effectiveness of sanctions, international sanctions compliance, and target country's ability to evade or circumvent sanctions; includes analysis on the emergence of evasions methods such as digital and cryptocurrencies and alternate financial systems.
