Job description

Founded in 2017 by two women, PROVEN harnesses groundbreaking artificial intelligence to create personalized, adaptive, clinically-effective skincare tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

Our belief is simple: Everyone deserves skincare as unique as they are. Based on our proprietary, award-winning Skin Genome Project™ database—the world’s largest beauty knowledge base—our technology turns millions of scientific data points into personalized skincare formulations that deliver results.

We’re relentless in our pursuit of science; driven by our love of data; and committed to transforming the one‑size‑fits‑all skincare industry. To date, we’ve earned MIT’s AI Technology of the Year Award and Glossy’s Best Use of Technology Award—not to mention the first‑ever U.S. patent for personalization in skincare. And that’s just the start: In 2022, we launched our sister company, Noteworthy Scents, to help people discover a fragrance they love through an innovative, AI‑backed fragrance experience.

We have assembled a world‑class team of scientists, engineers, data analysts, creatives, marketers, business experts, customer support specialists, and operations professionals. We’re dedicated to our mission, growing quickly, and are always on the lookout for passionate team members.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re searching for a detail‑oriented and technically skilled eCommerce Specialist with a passion for learning and optimizing Shopify 2.0. This role requires proficiency in handling product data, subscription plans, and merchandising while leveraging analytics to enhance site performance and identify opportunities for growth. You’ll manage and optimize our Shopify platform and marketplace platforms, ensuring seamless functionality, exceptional user experiences, and data‑driven decisions.

What You’ll Do:

Shopify and Marketplace Management & Optimization:

  • Set up and launch new products, including managing all metadata and assets.
  • Configure and manage subscription products, selling plans, and related settings.
  • Build and optimize merchandising pages to enhance user experience and improve conversions.
  • Manage Shopify 2.0 functionality, including product setup, page creation, and basic code edits (as needed).
  • Manage additional marketplace platforms like Amazon, Target, and Macy’s with the same rigor as Shopify, ensuring consistency in product setup, data accuracy, and performance optimization.

Strategic Analytics & Reporting:

  • Analyze eCommerce performance using GA4, Shopify Analytics, and other tools, providing insights to guide optimization efforts.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to track KPIs and inform stakeholders about key performance trends.
  • Present data‑driven recommendations to improve traffic, user engagement, and sales.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):

  • Analyze user behavior and funnel performance to identify conversion barriers and opportunities.
  • Plan, execute, and interpret A/B tests to improve landing pages, calls‑to‑action, and other key elements.
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to implement improvements that enhance the shopping experience.

SEO Management:

  • Conduct regular SEO audits to identify technical and content optimization opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve organic search rankings using tools like Google Search Console and GA4.
  • Optimize site structure, Product Detail Pages (PDPs), and collection pages to enhance discoverability and usability.

Who You Are:

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with an interest in eCommerce, analytics, or digital marketing.
  • Strong curiosity about how websites drive traffic, conversion, and sales.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel) and a comfort working with data.
  • Familiarity with online shopping experiences — you understand what makes a great website for customers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn tools like Shopify, GA4, and Google Tag Manager through hands‑on training.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

  • Exposure to Google Analytics, SEO, or basic web analytics coursework or internships.
  • Familiarity with Shopify or another eCommerce platform.
  • Interest in SEO, site performance, or digital merchandising.
  • Basic understanding of HTML or CSS.
  • Experience collaborating on group projects or working cross‑functionally in internships, campus roles, or part‑time jobs.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 annually
