Job description

Description

The eCommerce Content Specialist owns the end-to-end creation and optimization of online product detail pages (PDPs) to improve traffic, conversion, and revenue while maintaining brand voice and content standards. This role partners closely with Buying, Category Merchandising, and vendors to collect and validate product data and digital assets (specifications, images, video, and enhanced content), ensuring a high-quality, customer-friendly online shopping experience. The specialist uses site analytics and customer insights to identify content opportunities, drive continuous improvements, and support ongoing process automation and efficiency.

Duties
  • Build and optimize PDP content: build, update, and maintain product pages across the eCommerce platform, including titles, descriptions, elevated copy, and descriptive attributes. Project manage multiple processes at once.
  • Manage product assets: source, organize, and publish images, video, and enhanced content; ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with brand voice and internal guidelines.
  • Partner cross‑functionally: collaborate with Buying, Category Merchandising, and vendor partners to gather accurate product data and assets and confirm assortment priorities.
  • Use data to improve performance: leverage analytics tools (Adobe, Quantum Metric, Intera) and customer feedback to identify content gaps, improve conversion, and reduce returns.
  • Quality assurance: participate in QA to validate accuracy, completeness, and on‑site presentation; troubleshoot content and display issues in coordination with partners.
  • Continuous improvement: recommend and support more efficient ways of working, document best practices, and contribute to process improvements and automation (including adoption of AI tools and platforms such as Alteryx).
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in eCommerce content, digital merchandising, content operations, or a related role.
  • Collaboration skills with internal and external partners.
  • Understanding of eCommerce platforms and digital asset flow.
  • Experience in eCommerce / project management preferred.
  • Professional storytelling/copywriting experience preferred.
  • Technical proficiency with eCommerce platforms, CMS, and analytical tools such as Alteryx, Quantum Metric, and PIM systems (Syndigo).
  • Experience with AI-generated tools or Copilot platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Firefly, and basic understanding of HTML principles.
Compensation

$22 – 27/hr (W‑2).
