Job description

Rainier Recruiting is partnering with a $300m global manufacturer of apparel who is investing significantly into their North America Sales & Marketing efforts. The opening will help elevate our direct-to-consumer marketing efforts through creative campaigns, content creation, and strategic planning. Compensation : $90,000-120,000 base salary plus inherited bonuses and commission from your territory. Average annual bonuses will total $10,000-20,000.

Location : 100% remote. Preference given to candidates who live and work in the Eastern time zone (EST).

Position Overview :

The Ecommerce Marketing Manager is responsible for implementing digital marketing strategies to enhance direct-to-consumer growth. This role involves planning and executing online advertising campaigns, developing email marketing initiatives, coordinating content creation, and increasing brand awareness and sales through digital channels. The ideal candidate will contribute to creative content development and ensure brand messaging effectively engages the target audience, ultimately expanding the online presence and fostering customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in creating and executing the annual marketing plan for direct-to-consumer channels.
  • Identify key opportunities for campaigns, product launches, and promotions by analyzing market trends and customer insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, design) to ensure marketing initiatives align with overall business objectives.
  • Manage the marketing calendar to ensure timely execution of campaigns and content across digital platforms.

Digital Advertising Campaigns :

  • Develop and manage paid media strategies (Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, display ads, etc.) to drive brand visibility, website traffic, and sales.
  • Optimize ad content, visuals, and audience targeting to improve campaign performance.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics, making data-driven adjustments to enhance return on investment and conversion rates.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging trends in digital advertising.

Email Marketing :

  • Plan, design, and execute email marketing campaigns to engage and convert customers.
  • Develop targeted content for promotions, product launches, seasonal campaigns, and customer retention.
  • Segment and maintain email lists to ensure personalized messaging reaches the right audience at the right time.
  • Monitor and analyze email performance, using insights to refine future campaigns.

Content Creation & Management :

  • Oversee and coordinate the production of high-quality visual content, including photoshoots and videos.
  • Work with internal and external creative teams (photographers, videographers, designers) to develop assets for campaigns, websites, and social media.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand identity and is optimized for digital platforms.
  • Write compelling product descriptions, landing pages, blog posts, and other content to support ecommerce and marketing initiatives.

Website & Ecommerce Support :

  • Work with the ecommerce team to ensure the website is updated with new products, promotions, and fresh content.
  • Optimize landing pages and product listings to improve conversion rates, using A / B testing and other performance tools.
  • Ensure the website experience aligns with marketing efforts, providing a seamless path from awareness to purchase.

Performance Analysis & Reporting :

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (traffic, sales, engagement, conversion rates) for all digital marketing efforts.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on marketing tools, trends, and emerging platforms to propose innovative strategies.
  • Work closely with the social media team to create a unified digital strategy incorporating paid advertising, content marketing, and organic social media efforts.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to ensure marketing materials align with current product offerings and brand messaging.
  • Coordinate with customer service and sales teams to maintain consistency in promotions and communication across all touchpoints.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within direct-to-consumer ecommerce.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience managing paid advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook / Instagram Ads, Display Ads) and email marketing platforms.
  • Creative skills with experience in content creation, including photography, videography, and copywriting.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, email platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo), and CMS platforms (Shopify, WordPress, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of SEO and content optimization for digital platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with photo and video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite or similar).
  • Familiarity with A / B testing, conversion rate optimization, and website UX best practices.
  • Interest in workwear, outdoor gear, or related industries is a plus.
