Job summary

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago is seeking warehouse associates for rotating two-week schedules with front half or back half shifts. Roles involve photographing and listing items, testing equipment, packing and shipping, and mentoring new associates in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities include inventory control, order inquiries, data disposal for sensitive devices, and operating pallet jacks or forklifts.

Qualifications

Basic reading, writing and math skills.
Computer skills with word processing and email/internet use.
Forklift certification, if required at site.
Must be able to function independently in a work setting.

Responsibilities

Feed books and media items onto a conveyor belt system.
Photograph and list items accurately, noting damage.
Determine merchandise value based on quality, trends, brands, and price guides.
Move materials to support shipping and transportation in loading/unloading areas.
Use software/hardware to dispose of data-bearing devices per procedures.
Organize and maintain inventory by stocking and stowing products.
Analyze inquiries on orders, pricing, inventory and shipping/receiving.
Pack, seal, label, and postage items for shipping using packing tools.
Use shipping software to select cost-effective carriers.
Assist with training and mentoring of associates.
Maintain production environment standards with a team-focused process.
Keep work area organized and follow safety procedures with PPE as needed.
Meet daily productivity goals and rotate between stations.
Safely operate pallet jack; forklift experience is a plus.
