OVERVIEW
We are looking for a data-driven eCommerce and CRM Specialist to execute and optimize customer lifecycle marketing, Shopify merchandising, subscription initiatives, and eCommerce reporting for Corvus Coffee and The Fox and The Raven Bakery.
This is a hands‑on individual contributor role that translates marketing and eCommerce strategy into effective day‑to‑day execution across Klaviyo, Shopify, subscriptions, and customer retention initiatives. The Specialist monitors performance, identifies opportunities, recommends improvements, and manages assigned initiatives within the priorities and goals established by the Marketing + eCommerce Manager.
You will partner closely with the Marketing + eCommerce Manager on strategy, priorities, performance targets, and campaign direction, and with designated creative and web resources on design and technical execution. The Marketing + eCommerce Manager retains overall ownership and accountability for the marketing and eCommerce function.
The ideal candidate thinks in customer journeys, is comfortable in both Klaviyo and Shopify, enjoys using data to improve performance, and can independently execute well‑defined initiatives while collaborating closely with marketing and creative partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. CRM & Lifecycle Marketing
- Execute and optimize lifecycle marketing initiatives in Klaviyo in alignment with strategy and priorities established by the Marketing + eCommerce Manager
- Build, maintain, test, and optimize automated flows including welcome, abandoned checkout, post‑purchase, win‑back, subscription onboarding, Reserve Club, replenishment, and re‑engagement journeys
- Build and maintain customer segments based on purchase behavior, engagement, subscription status, and other relevant customer data
- Monitor list health, deliverability, engagement, suppression, and send performance and flag concerns or opportunities
- Build, QA, schedule, and deploy assigned email campaigns and analyze campaign and flow performance including revenue, conversion, engagement, repeat purchase, and retention metrics
- Manage approved coupon and discount code execution including single‑use codes, expiration logic, and Shopify synchronization
- Identify opportunities to improve retention, repeat purchase, personalization, and email performance; make recommendations to the Marketing + eCommerce Manager; and brief creative resources on required visual assets
2. eCommerce Performance & Conversion Optimization
- Monitor Shopify performance including conversion rate, average order value, sessions, revenue by channel, and checkout completion
- Review the customer journey from traffic source through purchase and identify potential friction points and conversion opportunities
- Identify upsell, cross‑sell, merchandising, and repeat‑purchase opportunities and recommend tactics to the Marketing + eCommerce Manager
- Track and report on subscription performance including new subscriber acquisition, recurring revenue, cancellations, retention, and subscriber purchasing behavior
- Support approved A/B tests across email, segmentation, landing pages, promotions, and on‑site merchandising in collaboration with the Marketing + eCommerce Manager
- Partner with designated creative and web resources on approved UI/UX and digital customer experience improvements, and measure results of assigned optimization initiatives
3. Shopify Management
- Manage day‑to‑day Shopify merchandising for Corvus Coffee and The Fox and The Raven including products, collections, promotions, subscription rotations, landing pages, and seasonal updates
- Coordinate product, campaign, and website launches by ensuring approved copy, pricing, imagery, links, promotions, and customer‑facing information are accurate and ready on time
- Maintain accurate product offerings, pricing, promotions, collections, and other customer‑facing eCommerce information
- Identify broken links, mobile experience issues, app problems, page‑speed concerns, or other website performance issues and coordinate resolution with the appropriate internal or external resource
- Manage routine subscription products, rotations, customer‑facing information, and approved promotional updates; support optimization of the subscription browsing and sign‑up experience
4. Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain weekly and monthly reporting for assigned eCommerce, CRM, and subscription metrics, connecting customer and marketing activity to on‑site behavior and revenue outcomes
- Track and report on the following KPIs on a weekly and monthly basis:
- Email‑attributed revenue and revenue per recipient
- Flow conversion rates and revenue by flow
- Email list growth rate and engaged list percentage
- Shopify conversion rate and checkout completion rate
- Repeat purchase rate
- Customer retention and reactivation rate
- Subscriber churn and returning customer revenue
- Customer purchase frequency
- Subscription new acquisition and recurring revenue
- Abandoned checkout flow reach and conversion
- Sessions by channel and returning customer rate
- Identify meaningful trends, opportunities, and concerns; measure results of campaigns and tests; and present data‑informed recommendations to the Marketing + eCommerce Manager on a regular cadence
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 to 4 years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, eCommerce, email marketing, or a related digital marketing role
- Hands‑on proficiency in Klaviyo including segmentation, flow building, campaign execution, list health, and performance reporting
- Hands‑on proficiency in Shopify including product and collection management, promotions, analytics, and storefront merchandising
- Demonstrated ability to analyze customer and eCommerce data, identify trends, and translate findings into clear actionable strategies
- Understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and how to use segmentation and personalization to improve retention and lifetime value
- Understanding of email deliverability best practices including list hygiene, send cadence, and engagement management
- Comfortable building and presenting performance reports without heavy reliance on a dedicated data team
- Strong written communication skills for email copy direction and cross‑team briefing
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with Recharge or a similar subscription management platform
- Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar web analytics tools
- Experience working in a DTC food, beverage, or consumer goods brand
- Understanding of paid social attribution and how acquisition channels connect to eCommerce and CRM performance
- Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization
- Familiarity with Shopify theme editing or basic HTML/CSS
HOW THIS ROLE WORKS ALONGSIDE OUR MARKETING + CREATIVE TEAM
The Marketing + eCommerce Manager owns overall marketing and eCommerce strategy, priorities, performance targets, campaign direction, budget decisions, and accountability for the function. The eCommerce & CRM Specialist is a hands‑on individual contributor responsible for strong execution, ongoing optimization, accurate reporting, and data‑informed recommendations within those established priorities.
Graphic and brand design, including packaging, signage, promotional graphics, email visual assets, and other creative work, is handled by designated creative resources. Technical web development, custom Shopify development, and complex integrations are handled by the appropriate internal or external web resource. This role may coordinate and brief those resources but is not expected to serve as the company's Graphic Designer or Web Developer.
