Job summary

The Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research Center (EOARC) Union Station at Oregon State University invites applications for two full-time Faculty Research Assistant positions in Union, Oregon. These roles support botanist/plant ecologists studying forest and rangeland ecology and management, collaborating on projects with tribal partners and land managers.

Responsibilities include field and lab work, data collection, analysis, and contributing to publications, reports, and outreach materials;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ecology, botany, plant ecology, natural resources, rangeland ecology, wildlife or related discipline.
• Experience measuring natural resource and/or ecological data in field settings (forest, grassland, shrubland, wetlands).
• Experience using GPS units to navigate to locations and record spatial data.
• Experience and/or training in plant identification and vegetation measurements.
• Experience and willingness to collaborate across disciplines.
• Strong written and oral communication; proficiency with MS Office and Google Docs.
