Oregon State University’s Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research Center, Union Experiment Station, seeks two Faculty Research Assistant positions to support forest and rangeland ecology projects in Union, Oregon. You will collect field data, contribute to experiments, and assist with analyses and publications.

The roles involve collaboration with tribes, agencies and partners, and require mobility, data documentation, and strong communication.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in ecology, botany, plant ecology, natural resources, rangeland ecology, wildlife or related discipline.
• Experience measuring and collecting natural resource and/or ecological data in field settings (forest, grassland, shrubland, wetlands, etc.).
• Experience using GPS units to navigate to locations and record spatial data in the field.
• Experience and/or training in use of dichotomous keys, plant identification and plant/vegetation measurements.
• Experience and commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Maintain research records and ensure data quality.
• Communicate effectively with the research team and partners.
• Collaborate with external research partners on projects.
• Assist with data analysis and contribute to publications, reports and outreach.
