Job summary

Oregon State University’s Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research Center invites applications for a full-time Faculty Research Assistant to support forest and rangeland ecology research. You will integrate field data with environmental condition data to inform watershed-scale restoration and collaborate with partners across multiple agencies.

We seek individuals with field data collection experience, GIS skills, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ecology, geography, natural resources, or related discipline.
• Experience collecting ecological data in field settings (soil, slope, aspect, richness, diversity, etc.).
• Experience using GPS units to collect spatial data in the field.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in challenging terrain and in adverse weather conditions.
