Job summary

Ethos is seeking an experienced ecologist to help train AI models on professional environmental documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. You will interpret field and lab data, craft technical reports for regulators, and produce high-quality deliverables with strong written communication.

The role is fully remote with flexible hours (5-20 hrs/week or more). Candidates should have 4+ years in ecological research or regulatory monitoring, in consulting, government, or academia.

Qualifications

• 4+ years conducting environmental impact assessments, ecological surveys, or regulatory compliance monitoring in a consulting, government, or academic setting.
• Direct experience interpreting field and lab data such as species counts, water and soil chemistry, or emissions readings and translating it into technical reports for regulators or clients.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows.
• Develop environmental impact assessment reports, habitat and biodiversity summaries, and water/soil monitoring sheets.
• Prepare regulatory permit and compliance submissions and field study methodologies.
• Contribute to conservation and remediation project proposals.

We're looking for ecologists with 4+ years in ecological research, environmental consulting, or applied biology to create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows: environmental impact assessment reports, species habitat and biodiversity survey summaries, water and soil quality monitoring data sheets, regulatory permit and compliance submissions, field study methodology and sampling protocols, and conservation and remediation project proposals.
