Job summary

Resource Environmental Solutions LLC seeks a Scientist II to support ecological restoration projects with fieldwork, data collection, and reporting. The role blends field activities with technical writing and regulatory coordination to ensure project success across diverse ecosystems.

In addition to core duties, the position includes an in-house FDOT assignment focusing on NEPA compliance, environmental studies, and regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, geology or a related natural/physical science field.
• 2+ years of fieldwork, sampling, ecological monitoring, or technical writing (or 1+ year with an advanced degree).
• Proficient in field sampling protocols, GPS/GIS tools, and equipment use.
• Experienced in collecting field data independently and following Standard Operating Procedures.
• Skilled in data analysis and technical report writing.
• Familiar with regulatory constraints and NEPA processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, monitoring, and success of ecological restoration projects across diverse ecosystems.
• Collect and manage data, contribute to project reporting, and support permitting and compliance documentation.
• In-house FDOT assignment: review transportation projects for NEPA compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with design, regulatory, and field teams to advance project objectives.
