Job summary

UF Health in Florida seeks an experienced ECMO Specialist to operate and monitor the ECMO program under the ECMO Coordinator. The role covers all aspects of circuit management, patient perfusion, acid-base balance and hemodynamic stability, from neonatal to geriatric patients.

You will administer blood products and medications safely, work with bedside nurses, participate in quality improvement and transport needs, and pursue ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy or RN program with Florida licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience.
• ECMO Primer training preferred.
• Licensure: BLS, PALS (within 6 weeks), ACLS (within 6 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot ECMO circuit and related equipment.
• Administer blood products and medications safely for patients on ECMO.
• Collaborate with bedside nursing to maintain perfusion and hemodynamic stability.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ECMO transport needs.
