Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled nurse to join the Cardiovascular ICU as an ECMO Specialist. The role focuses on advanced life support and complex patient care in a high-acuity setting.

The ideal candidate will have a Florida RN license, BLS, and relevant certifications. You will collaborate with intensivists, perfusion, and bedside staff to ensure optimal ECMO management and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
1 year experience in nursing, or as approved by AVP level or above.
Maintains current Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain areas; NRP for NICU.

Responsibilities

Care for patients requiring complex assessment and high-intensity interventions.
Utilize data to respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
Monitor and adjust ECMO and related hemodynamic equipment.
Respond to life-saving events per nursing standards and protocol.
Develop and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and responses.
Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to plan and manage patient care.
Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or unit educator as needed.
Maintain documentation meeting regulatory standards across care activities.
