Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking an ECMO specialist to participate in developing and executing ECMO treatment plans. You will collaborate with the ECMO physician and the care team to interpret and adjust plans for patient-specific needs and education.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree, designated ECMO training or equivalent, applicable Texas licensure (RN, RRT NBRC, or CCP Perfusion), BLS/ACLS, and at least two years of critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Completion of a designated ECMO training program or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation.
• RN license in Texas or RRT/NBRC or CCP Perfusion license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the development of the ECMO treatment plan including assessment, planning, implementation and education.
• Communicates with the ECMO physician and healthcare team to interpret and adjust care plans.
• Ensures treatment completion according to the ECMO patient care plan.
