Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking an experienced ECMO Specialist to join our ICU care team in Texas. You will develop and implement ECMO treatment plans, educate families, and collaborate with the ECMO physician and nursing staff to tailor patient care. A 2+ years critical care background, RN, RRT, or CCP credentials, and BLS/ACLS are required.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, and ongoing education to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Completion of an ECMO training program or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience.
• RN license in Texas or RRT/CCP credentials may be required as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development of a treatment plan for ECMO patients.
• Collaborates with the ECMO physician and healthcare team to interpret, adjust, and complete the ECMO care plan.
• Educates patients and families as part of the treatment plan implementation.
