Job summary

Orlando Health in Orlando is seeking an experienced ECMO Nurse Specialist to deliver advanced care in the cardiac intensive care setting. You will monitor ECMO patients, manage complex nursing needs, and collaborate with physicians and perfusionists to optimize patient outcomes.

Requires Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS, and specialized ECMO training. You will participate in education, staffing support, and quality improvement initiatives while contributing to a dedicated care team.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
ACLS, NRP, PALS are required for certain areas; NICU requires NRP.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates critical knowledge and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies.
Monitors equipment and records physiologic data.
Responds to life-threatening situations per policy and protocol.
Documents care in a timely, accurate manner and maintains regulatory standards.
Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to plan and manage patient care.
Provides leadership as a preceptor, educator, or unit lead where needed.
