Job summary
Orlando Health is expanding its Lakeland Highlands Hospital team with a critical care nursing role, joining an award‑winning system serving Polk County and beyond. You will provide advanced patient care in an ICU/stepdown setting, delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care and collaborating with physicians and the care team.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
- 1 year experience required unless approved by AVP level or above.
- Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
- ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas; NRP required for NICU.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates leadership and advanced nursing skills in a high‑acuity setting.
- Provides comprehensive patient assessment, planning and execution of care.
- Monitors patient condition, responds to changes with physician collaboration.
- Documents care accurately and ensures patient safety and comfort.
- Acts as a preceptor and contributor to unit education and performance improvement.
- Maintains compliance with policies and supports interdisciplinary teamwork.
