Job summary

Metrocare Services seeks an Occupational Therapist for the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program in Dallas to provide development therapies and service coordination for infants up to age 3 with developmental delays or disabilities.

You will work in natural environments, coach primary caregivers, and deliver motor development therapy, assessment, and family education while complying with HHSC ECI guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed and Registered Occupational Therapist by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
• Two or more years’ experience working with infants and/or families in employment or volunteer capacity.

Responsibilities

• Develops motor therapy with infants and toddlers in natural settings using the Coaching delivery model.
• Provides therapy and consults with families as per IFSP.
• Coordinates caseload and schedules services with families.
• Assesses needs and recommends assistive technology/adaptive equipment.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to determine eligibility for ECI program.
