Job summary

Metrocare Services in Dallas, TX is seeking a Dietitian for Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) to provide nutritional assessments, education, and service coordination for babies up to age 3 with developmental delays or disabilities. Services are delivered in natural environments, including home and community settings, and via telehealth.

The role requires an RD license, ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team, and travel up to 3 days a week for clinic or field visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in human nutrition, food and nutrition, nutrition education, dietetics, or food systems management, or equivalent internship and preplanned professional experience.
• Successful completion of the examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Experience working with infants/toddlers with medical needs in employment or volunteer capacity.
• Preferred: Proficient in Spanish and/or American Sign Language.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs and develop dietary-care plans for families of infants/toddlers in home or community settings.
• Provide nutritional counseling in the primary language of the family.
• Consult with physicians and health care staff on nutrition needs and diet restrictions.
