Position Summary

The Echo Sonographer is credentialed and experienced to provide diagnostic patient care using ultrasound and related procedures within the scope of practice. Reports to: Cardiac Cath lab Manager / CV Director.

Qualifications and requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Graduate of a Program in Discipline required
• CCI or ARDMS certification preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to use a computer, telephone, fax, calculator, and adapt to new technology. Must maintain a positive attitude and function effectively in stressful situations.
