Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a laboratory supervisor to manage day-to-day lab operations, assign work, oversee workflows, and ensure QA compliance. The role includes supervising staff, maintaining competency, and coordinating with regulatory standards to deliver high-quality cardiac imaging studies.

The position requires 5+ years in cardiac ultrasound and relevant RDMS/RDCS/ARRT credentials, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred and prior leadership experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in cardiac ultrasound imaging.
• RDMS/ARRT or RDCS certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; management experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Functions in a supervisory role and assumes overall responsibility for the operations of the laboratory including addressing issues affecting staff performance and efficiency.
• Maintains clinical competence and performs cardiac imaging studies.
• Participates in staff selection and development ensuring competency and high performance standards.
• Ensures compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements; establishes and monitors quality measures.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
