Job Details

The Echocardiography Technologist performs complete echocardiographic examinations including M-mode, two-dimension and Doppler Echocardiography on clinical and/or research patients. Assists the Cardiologist, Fellows or other appropriate personnel in performing transesophageal and stress echocardiographic examinations. May also assist in coordinating patient flow, staff assignments, educational support, and ensure procedures meet IAC standards for Echocardiography.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients, review history questionnaires, and explain tests.
• Perform echocardiograms (2D, M-mode, Doppler) per physician orders.
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and stress echocardiograms as per department policy.
• Log patient/test data for billing and records.
• Monitor and maintain clinical equipment for quality and safety.
• Maintain images in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Clean and disinfect equipment.
• Participate in on-call rotations and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and completion of a CAAHEP-accredited echocardiography or cardiovascular technology program.
• One or more years of echocardiogram experience preferred.

Additional Information

Work shift: Day shift (United States). This is a regular, full-time position at 18 East Laurel Road, Stratford, NJ.
