Perform routine and complex cardiac ultrasound procedures to assess heart structures and hemodynamics in accordance with established clinical protocols.
Set up imaging equipment, adjust technical parameters, and manually maneuver transducers while correctly positioning patients for optimal visualization.
Recognize normal anatomy, cardiac pathology, and equipment limitations while ensuring prompt, accurate submission of high-quality images and patient data to PACS.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and uphold strict quality control, patient safety, and regulatory compliance standards across the department.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following required:
Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular CredentialingInternational (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
