Job summary

Qualifications

• Allied health professionals provide diagnostic and therapeutic health care services to promote health and prevent disease.
• Vanderbilt Health is a major center for patient referrals from the Mid-South region.
• LIC-Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer licensure is referenced in the Certifications section.

Responsibilities

• Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
• Provides appropriate Echo testing process to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
• Gathers echocardiographic diagnostic images for all patients including clinically complex cases.
• Communicates findings to the Healthcare Team including recognition of abnormal studies.
• Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.
